The Domaine de Soustres is located in the commune of Montady, between Béziers and Narbonne.
Between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains of the Haut Languedoc, it occupies most of the Ensérune hill, at the top of which is located the archaeological site and museum of the Oppidum d'Ensérune.
At its foot flows the Canal du Midi crossing the hill through the Malpas tunnel, dug out of the rock in 1679 by Pierre-Paul Riquet.
The Domaine overlooks the Etang de Montady pond located in the plain. It was drained in the 13th century and offers the singular landscape of an immense circle cultivated in sectors, very visible from the heights of the Ensérune hill.
