In winter, things get moving at the domaine!

It may be greyer than usual in Soustres, but that doesn’t mean we can’t offer you a wide range of activities and events! To share moments of culture and conviviality with you, in February we’re taking part in 2 events of a different kind in terms of their purpose and ambition.

JAZZ A BAYSSAN is organized by Scène de Bayssan (Hérault department) in the domain of the same name, a five-minute drive west of Béziers.
The other is a more confidential event, RENCONTRES on the theme of Wine & Romanity, organized on the initiative and by students on the Chargé d’Accueil Touristique et de Loisirs (CATL) course at Greta Hérault Ouest, and taking place at the Domaine de Soustres.

Jazz & Wines

For the festival from Friday February 2 to Saturday February 4, we’ll be present under the big top (heated, rest assured!) of the Hérault department. Along with our fellow winemakers, we’ll be representing the IGP wines of the Hérault region, in this case Coteaux d’Ensérune. It’s a unique opportunity to get to know your producers.

You’ll be able to combine concerts, lectures and master-classes (download the full program below) with the pleasures of a gourmet market and wine tastings.

Räyann will be there for 3 days to welcome you to our tasting area and present our white, rosé, red and orange cuvées, new releases and recent vintages.

You can buy wine by the glass (2€) or by the bottle (10€ to 15€), with a snack or meal, in an area equipped with tables and chairs. It will also be possible to take your own wine away, with bottles and boxes of our vintages available.

Vin et Romanité

It will have escaped no one’s notice that Domaine de Soustres is located on the hill of Enserune, which has been occupied since the 6th century BC by men and women of different origins in a fortified site known as the oppidum.

It was undoubtedly this privileged position and the age of our estate that motivated the students from Greta Hérault Ouest to ask us to host a one-afternoon meeting on the theme of wine and romance.

It’s a way for these future Tourism and Leisure Welcome Managers to put into practice the knowledge acquired during their training, and to put their skills to the test in the field.

Three major themes related to Roman history will be addressed in the form of lectures and quizzes

  • Commerce and the art of living
  • Wine
  • The impact on today’s society

We’ll continue with a tour of the winery and a tasting session in the cellar.

This event is limited in number of participants and managed by Greta students.
